the ultimate summer reading extravaganza

yo. for reals. i blew through these books like i had a deadline. they are so fun and quick and well pretty intense for a bunch of books created for teens. im not particularly good at blogging about books. i just know when ive read a good book and like to share with others and summer reads are the best. i was all set to start reading the seventeenth, yes 17th book in the janet evanovich mytery novel series my mother sucked me into. good silly summer read when my friend jul told me about the hunger games. id heard about them but had no idea how amazing they were!!! and the last one just came out last fall. if i wouldve had to wait on them, or the twilights i would have lost it. wonderful cliffangers too. i was that girl on the train and you wanted to know what book i was reading cause i was having an experience and i didnt care who was watching. anyhoo. beach it up and grab one. the first one is in paperback and there shooting the movie right by my house in asheville north carolina. i promise you wont be able to put them down.

Twenty-four are forced to enter. Only the winner survives. In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Each year, the districts are forced by the Capitol to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the Hunger Games, a brutal and terrifying fight to the death - televised for all of Panem to see.

Survival is second nature for sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who struggles to feed her mother and younger sister by secretly hunting and gathering beyond the fences of District 12. When Katniss steps in to take the place of her sister in the Hunger Games, she knows it may be her death sentence. If she is to survive, she must weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

WINNING WILL MAKE YOU FAMOUS. LOSING MEANS CERTAIN DEATH.
